ROI and Your Website
Your website is an investment. The decision process about your website design, develpment and marketing strategy should be subject to the same level of discipline that is used when evaluating other types of investments.
In a typical scenario business people decide to invest in a particular asset - a new employee, a piece of machinery, a television commericial. The decision is normally based on whether the investment will yield a particular return on investment (ROI).
If the investment is a new piece of machinery that costs $100,000 today and the new machine yields $300,000 the next year, the net gain is $200,000. To calculate the ROI divide the net gain by the amount invested:
$200,000 net gain / $100,000 investment = 2.00. 200% ROI
With your website you may have already made a sizable investment in design and development. However, the return may seem to be eluding the company. It is likely that this is because the site is not being found and not converting vistors to customers.
Oranic Traction works to improve ROI by starting from a measured baseline and then tracking your progress. Learn more about our process.
